DAY 1 : Casablanca
Upon arrival in Casablanca, the economic capital of Morocco, you will be met by your personal driver and transferred to your Casablanca hotel, where you will check in and relax. Depending on your arrival time, you will have a visit to the Hassan II, one of the world’s biggest mosques. Your evening meal will be served in the hotel.
DAY 2 : Rabat – Meknes – Fes
Follow North Africa’s infamous Barbary Coast to Rabat, once a lair of the corsairs and now the country’s capital. Enjoy an orientation drive to see the massive medieval battlements, the Royal Palace, and more. Continue to Meknes. Originally founded as a military settlement it was transformed into an impressive city in Spanish-Moorish style during the reign of Sultan Moulay Ismaïl. During your guided sightseeing, admire the monumental gates of the city walls, the mosques, and the palace. Visit the ROYAL STABLES, constructed to house 12,000 of the royal horses. Next is Fez. Blessed with an ample supply of water and strategically situated, Fez became the capital of Morocco when the country shook off foreign rule under Berber King Idris in the 8th century. To this day, Fez has remained Morocco’s spiritual and artistic center.
DAY 3 : Fes
Enjoy a full day at leisure to bravely wander the old medina yourself or, choose to take to guided optional tour where you will visit the many hidden treasures of the medina that only a Moroccan guide will know. Fez served as the capital of Morocco for more than 400 years and is home to the University of Al Karaouine, the oldest operating university in the world. It is particularly famous for its tanneries and the Fes el Bali Medina. A short visit to the surrounding leather shops gives you the best view of the tanneries. See the Attarine Medersa, Moulay Idriss mausoleum, and visit the Nejjarine Fountains and Museum. Opportunities for shopping for authentic Moroccan carpets will be provided. Finally, view the exterior of the Royal Palace and walk through the famed Jewish quarter of the medina. Though the city has endured periods of hardship, it has emerged more vibrant than ever, boasting its own distinctive culture, art, and even cuisine. DAY 4 : Fes
This will be a free day to relax and do some extra exploring of Fes and the souk. Your evening meal will be served in the hotel.
DAY 5 : Fes / Marrakech (Full day drive)
After an early breakfast, you will depart for Marrakech. The beautiful drive will take you up into the Middle Atlas Mountains and along the base of the High Atlas Mountains. Once in Marrakech, you will check into your hotel and then head off to the Jemaa el-Fna, the center square of the medina. The famous Jemaa el-Fna, is one of the center attractions of Marrakech. Coming alive at night with the local storytellers, entertainers, and mouth-watering barbeque pits, the square is well worth a visit. A quiet cup of tea on the terrace of an adjacent café provides a spectacular aerial view of the bustling square. Dinner will be served in the hotel.
DAY 6 : Marrakech
After breakfast, you will have a guided tour of Marrakech, the southern pearl of Morocco. You will discover the Palace of the Bahia, the Saadian Tombs, and many other hidden treasures. After lunch, you will continue with an exploration of the souk (market) of Marrakech. In the evening, you will enjoy a local restaurant.
DAY 7 : Marrakech – Casablanca
You will spend this morning in Marrakech enjoy in the souks. In the afternoon you will head back to Casablanca for your final night. Your evening meal will be in the hotel or perhaps you might like to enjoy Rick’s Cafe.
DAY 8 : Casablanca – Airport
After breakfast, you will be transferred to Casablanca airport for departure.
